The typical internet user has about 100 sets of login details – and memorising all of these is impossible for most people. Password manager apps can help to manage and remember long and complex credentials. They synchronise your passwords across your different devices, making it easier to log on, wherever you are, and whatever you\u2019re using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They help spot fake websites, which will protect you from phishing attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They let you know if you\u2019re re-using the same password across different accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They notify you if your password appears within a known data breach, so you know if you need to change it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They work across platforms, so you could (for example) use a single password manager that would work for your iPhone and your Windows desktop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Password managers are ideal for SMEs that don\u2019t have a full-time, dedicated IT person or security team. There are several reputable options on the market and they tick a lot of boxes in terms of affordability, resilience and offering a great first line of defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
